The Spellman Series is one of my favorite series of all time. It's funny! I've read the book more than once, and the book still made me laugh! I definitely recommend this series if you like anything humorous :)

This is my favorite book from Gail Carson Levine. I read the book only after I've seen the movie, where Anne Hathaway starred as Ella. I love both the book and the movie!

My quote this week is from Hector and the Search for Happiness by François Lelord.

Lesson no. 1: Making comparisons can spoil your happiness - Hector and the Search for Happiness by François Lelord.

Hector and the Search for Happiness is a psychology/philosophy fiction. I think the original book, 'Le voyage d'Hector ou la recherche du bonheur' is first published in French. This book is not the usual book I would pick. So, it's refreshing to read something different. There are about 22 interesting lessons on happiness in the book. My favorite is Lesson no. 1 :)

Time is a river and books are boats. Many volumes start down that stream, only to be wrecked and lost beyond recall in its sands. Only a few, a very few, endure the testing of time and live to bless the ages following.

 I truly admire writers whose work are still read by people today.

I wonder if people will continue to read what I write in later years... Will I pass the test of time? DX

S. G Browne's Fated is surprisingly a good book, considering that I don't read humor that much. The characters includes Fate (or Fabio), God (or Jerry) Sloth, Greed, God, Destiny, Persistence, Karma and many others (my favorite is Karma. That guy is funny!) . I found that Fate's perception towards human is very interesting. I think I'm going to post more quotes on this book later on.

My quote this week is from Lindsey Kelk's I Heart New York

I'm always struct by how short wedding ceremonies are. The months of engagements, hours of planning, a whole weekend for the hen do even, and the lifelong deal was done inside twenty minutes and a couple of hymns. Even the photos took longer than the actual service - Angela

I was helping my mother with my brother's wedding since last year and finally, it is all over last weekend. So I thought of sharing a quote on wedding. And this quote from Lindsey Kelk's I Heart New York is very fitting. I have the same thought as Angela on wedding ceremonies :)

My quote this week is from Sophie Kinsella's The Undomestic Goddess

The Undomestic Goddess is one of my favorite from Sophie Kinsella. And this is my favorite quote from the book. It's probably because I didn't really have any specific goal in life. I'm the kind of person who like to follow where it will takes me. I think it's much interesting where you didn't know what to expect what happen in the future. You get to lean back and enjoy life a bit more.

This is my favorite quote from Janet Evanovich's Ten Big Ones. It is also the opening line for the book.  This is the first book from Janet Evanovich I've read. I was actually attracted to this book because it's pink (I was really young back then). But starting from this book, I hunt for the rest of Stephanie Plum series. I was hooked!
