A devoted fashionista and practical New Yorker, Skylar Blackwell doesn’t believe in the supernatural—until she inherits Summerwind Mansion. . . .

When her uncle is brutally murdered, and the cops seem uninterested in following up the case, Skylar journeys to California to seek answers. Her search for clues is soon overshadowed by haunting nightmares of a young woman also murdered in the house.

Now the inhabitants of Summerwind are mysteriously dying, leaving no evidence as to how or why, and Skylar finds herself in a deadly race against time to expose the killer—before they strike again.

The problem is . . . whoever it is may not be human.

Armed with only wit and Pradas, Skylar begins questioning the servants, but the growing list of suspects includes the sexy and brooding caretaker, Dorian, a man desperately trying to forget his tragic past. And a major distraction for Skylar.

Determined to play detective—instead of the fashion police—and unravel the dark history of the mansion, Skylar is plunged into an otherworldly mystery that not even she can explain away. As the boundaries between reality and dreams blur, Skylar’s greatest challenge is to stay alive long enough to learn the truth.

I received an ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Skylar Blackwell inherited Summerwind Mansion from her deceased uncle, who she believed was murdered. When Skylar lost her job, she decided to go to California and find out the truth behind her uncle’s death. But it seemed that she wasn’t welcome to the Summerwind. Almost everyone warned her to leave the place. Then Skylar began to dream about a young woman. Strange, mysterious things began to happen including a few more deaths, but Skylar decided to risk her life and investigate what really happen in Summerwind Mansion.

I was intrigued by the summary. Mystery with paranormal romance? That sounded exciting! Skylar was a fun character. She was brave and curious enough to stay and wanting to discover the mystery behind Summerwind. I like how was described as a fashionista. I’m not a fan of fashion or branded names, but I think it was fun to see that part of Skylar. There are times when I think that Skylar sounded more like a teenager than 25 years old. But what got me frustrated with Skylar was how she decided to leave Summerwind and head back to New York but decided to stay in Summerwind to solve the mysterious death, in just a few seconds. I would be fine if this happen only once.

The love interest of Skylar was Dorian. I didn’t really like was the instant lust Skylar had towards Dorian. However, I like how Dorian wanted Skylar to stay in Summerwind and in the same time, he wanted Skylar to leave the place for her safety. It kinda makes me wonder if Dorian was the good guy or the bad guy. It helped a lot with the mysterious setting the author was aiming for. But I wish that the author didn’t drag this setup for too long. I love the other supporting characters a lot. The author created the characters each with their own purposes. But I wish that there were a lot more of Emma and Victor.

Immortal Eclipse was creepy right from the start. I enjoyed the eerie and mysterious atmosphere surrounding Summerwind. I think the author did a great job portraying the mansion. The plot and the story progress were good. I really like how the author built the mystery and suspense throughout the story. The writing and short chapters make me wanting to read more and find out what really happen with the mansion. Immortal Eclipse was definitely an enjoyable, eerie, mysterious read with a dash of romance.
